Vasil Levski Blvd. Apartment – Realization

Finalist in Dibla Design Awards 2024

The apartment on Sofia’s V. Levski Blvd. came to us as an inspiring challenge with several creative provocations: first, a 58 m2 two-room residence had to be transformed into a three-room one; second, the task of combining mint color with classical notes and a relatively limited budget.

To create a sense of light and space, we removed some of the interior walls and redesigned the living area, fitting in a comfortable bedroom with a view of Vitosha, allowing light to reach it through a glass partition.

The furniture is entirely custom-designed to ensure a comfortable stay for a family of four while simultaneously creating a sense of space. The hallway unit flows into TV paneling with hidden cabinets, the kitchen cabinets turn into a library, and the high beams define a line for an additional upper row of cabinets with recessed spotlights. The bespoke bedroom furniture ensures optimal comfort. The children’s room is designed in the specified “fairytale” theme with an option for a second bed.

The classic style is combined with contemporary elements that give it a modern spirit. The textured white wall tiles in the living room and herringbone-style flooring, clean classic routing on cabinet doors, and wooden slats in the bedroom create a sense of detail depth and coziness.

Budget planning was crucial: priority was given to functional built-in furniture that maximizes space utilization over other movable elements.

The entire process of planning and designing to breathe new life into the old apartment with its unconventional requirements was a unique experience for us, developing unusual approaches, which created its own harmonious and distinctively individual interior.
